A Navy veteran, proven community leader and mom of two children in our local schools, Laura believes that - like our military - K-12 education is vital to our national and local strength and prosperity.
“The health of our nation is a direct reflection of the health of our public schools. It’s not enough to have a few high-quality schools here and there. We can and we must believe in, engage in, and invest in excellence and opportunity across our K-12 schools.”
In addition to academic excellence and relevant job skills, Laura has worked on school safety before and during her time on the school board. Seeing that work and with her experience in public service, Laura has earned the endorsement of law enforcement and first responders as well as many other elected leaders and organizations across Pinellas County.
